Getting to the inside

Hi Friends.  Ron's so happy to move indoors.  With all the heat, rain and now tornado warnings, it's good to work inside.

He's just getting started on the plumbing.

Off with the old, on with the new

Hi Friends.  We are still working on the house.  Today, I found this fall leaf on the porch.  I love it, so colorful.  I thought it might help explain the new exterior color, which is kind of olive green.  We decided it fit the neighborhood better then the blue, which was a bit too bright.  We actually love the new color.

And, it will look great with a red door.  Don't you agree?

I'm really excited.  Ron is working on plumbing now.  More pics soon. Thanks for checking back.  Love ya all!

End of Week One

Hi Friends.  We're off and running with siding the house this week.

Rain?  Really.  Naw, It doesn't rain here. Not!

I threw this picture in, it's the sunset last night as we drove to IGA to get a much needed carton of ice cream.  Ron picked out Bryers Snickers.  Yum.  And, btw, for all you construction detail information people, Ron informs me that he put 25,000 nails in the roof.  I'm now concerned about any thing flying over us (or driving by, for that matter) that's magnetic.  Just saying.

Thanks for keeping up on the building process.  Exciting things ahead for the project ( like design).  Love ya all.

Moving Along And Putting Up Siding

Hi Friends!  Well, I'm excited to tell you that the windows and doors, and trim work, all went into place much quicker then we expected.  This brings us to working on the siding, and painting.

And, now that I took a few minutes to update, I better get back to painting.  I can't wait to see the house all painted the beautiful early morning Grey/blue of the sky.  It's going to be so pretty.

Thanks for stopping by.  Love ya!

Hi Friends.  They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so without further ado. . . .

Oh, and guess what's in all the way around the house?!  Need a hint?  Made of glass.

We're so excited.

After Many Trials and Tribulations; A Roofing Story

Hi Friends!  I have good news, no, I have great news!  Ron is nearing the completion of our roof.  Neither rain, nor lightning, nor hail, nor extreme heat indexes, nor rain (its rained a lot), can keep him off his roof (well, the lightning did, but that's just about all).

Roof over the back patio!  I love it.

There's my hero!  Walking the ridgeline.

The view from inside.  Love all the windows!

Speaking of windows, they were delivered yesterday.  Ron's already started putting windows in the garage!

With the roof finished, we should be able to move ahead without too much trouble now.  Windows and doors, and then siding and painting.  So come back and visit again.  Thanks, ya'll.  Love ya!
